Tara Quinones was born in Manhattan, New York and raised in the Catskill Mountains. Her love and passion for cooking came about as a child.
Tara is an Alumni of The Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY, class of September 1993. She was raised working in a family-owned, busy summer resort restaurant. While attending culinary school, she worked in other restaurants and catering venues to experience how other businesses were run. Upon graduation, she moved to South Florida where she lived for 9 years diversifying her career. She worked as a chef in West Palm Beach at the Four Seasons hotel, at various country clubs, was a private Chef in Boca Raton, ran her own catering company and also worked as a dining room manager and chef in several fine dining restaurants.
